‘Fallen Angel’, 2019

2 Photographs A2, A3 (framed)

Annika Kadike has been working around the awareness of the current climate change and the

challenges and struggle of tackling a global pollution. By selecting synthetic, man manufactured

every-day household objects and placing them into the wild, natural landscapes Kadike

comments on the conflict between the man and the nature, where consumerism is no longer a

way to meet one’s needs, but has become a serious global issue and damage to the planet due

to the mass production and ignorance. These synthetic, delicate bags or sheets of plastic

packaging, becoming a symbol of the ‘Fallen Angel’ or a sort of a monster created by the humanity
